Merrill Shindler writes: "Which is why the Redondo Beach branch of Pho Hue Oi (the other outlet is in Fountain Valley) comes as such a surprise. Not a shock, for it’s still a very casual restaurant, with neither table cloths nor a dress code. This is a great place to drop by when shopping in one of the many adjacent malls, both mini and not so mini. But there’s definitely a designerish sense to be found here, with interesting hanging lamps, multi-colored strips of wood on the walls, tables with a modernist finish, tile floors that look like stone, framed black & white photos of the city of Hue decorating the wood panels......"
